The terrible news came
that Brian had died.

:39:32
Apparently, he'd taken an overdose.
:39:34
We were so shocked because
Brian was such a kingpin...

:39:37
of what was going on in our lives.
He was the father figure.

:39:40
And, all of a sudden, that had finished.
:39:42
That really sent things into chaos.
:39:46
Tickets, please. Thanks very much.
:39:49
Following a lecture that everybody
had been to, to see the Maharishi...

:39:53
they were invited to go to Bangor
for a weekend...

:39:56
to do meditation and to feel
the experience of meditation.

:40:00
I think they needed a break
from the madness.

:40:04
So we all ended up getting on a train
to Bangor, for this trip.

:40:08
And I, as usual, was trailing behind
with the hand baggage.

:40:11
And a massive policeman
put his arm out and stopped me.

:40:15
I couldn't get on the train. And the last
thing that I saw was John's head.

:40:20
I can't imagine what he was saying,
but it was probably pretty rude about...

:40:23
"For Christ's sake, Cyn, you're too slow
again. Why couldn't you run with us?"

:40:28
And at that point I just felt, "That's it."
:40:32
Somehow, I can't explain it.
:40:34
And normally I would
not have broken down.

:40:39
I would have been pretty cool and calm...
:40:41
and I knew that I would get there anyway.
:40:44
But at that point, I just felt so sad...
:40:47
that this is symbolic of our life now.
:40:50
It's like,
"I'm getting off at this station."

:40:54
And it was pretty true after that.
:40:57
Yoko was having an art show in London
at a gallery called Indica Gallery.
