1:31:03
It was her brother, Lazarus, who was sick.
1:31:09
The sisters sent Jesus a message:
1:31:14
"Lord, your dear friend is sick. "
1:31:19
When Jesus heard it, he said:
1:31:21
"The final result of this sickness
will not be the death of Lazarus.

1:31:25
"This has happened in order
to bring glory to God...

1:31:28
"and it will be the means
by which the Son of God will receive glory. "

1:31:36
Jesus loved Martha, and her sister,
and Lazarus.

1:31:40
Yet when he received the news
that Lazarus was sick...

1:31:42
he stayed where he was for two more days.
1:31:46
Then he said to his disciples,
"Let us go back to Judea. "

1:31:50
Teacher, just a short time ago,
the people there wanted to stone you...

1:31:54
and are you planning to go back?
1:31:56
A day has 1 2 hours, doesn't it?
1:31:59
So those who walk in broad daylight
do not stumble...

1:32:02
for they see the light of this world.
1:32:04
But if they walk
during the night, they stumble...

1:32:06
because they have no light.
1:32:08
Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep...
1:32:12
but I will go and wake him up.
1:32:22
If he is asleep, Lord, he will get well.
1:32:25
Jesus meant that Lazarus had died...
1:32:28
but they thought he meant natural sleep.
1:32:30
So Jesus told them plainly:
1:32:33
Lazarus is dead.
1:32:38
But for your sake...
1:32:40
I am glad that I was not with him...
1:32:43
so that you will believe.
1:32:48
Let us go to him.
1:32:49
Thomas, called the Twin,
said to his fellow disciples:

1:32:52
Let us all go along with the Teacher,
so that we may die with him!

1:32:59
When Jesus arrived, he found that Lazarus
had been buried four days before.
