:48:02
I was working at a gas station.
My husband and I both.

:48:08
We weren't getting along well at all.
:48:11
We were arguing back and forth.
:48:13
We didn't wanna go home, because
we'd rather talk it out in the car...

:48:17
than go home with the kids and fight.
:48:19
Had to listen to them, too.
:48:21
So we were really arguing,
and decided to get something to eat.

:48:26
About that time,
a police came out of a restaurant...

:48:29
on the right hand side of the road...
:48:32
and he went to pull the man over.
:48:43
She turned around.
She was looking hard. She looked.

:48:47
I didn't think she seen the guy, but she did.
:48:49
Because I said, "What you looking at?"
I knew something had went wrong.

:48:53
She said, "You just shut up and drive."
:48:57
And I kept telling my husband:
"Slow down so I can see."

:49:01
He said, "Come on,
we're getting out of here.

:49:04
"You're too nosy.
You don't even know what's going on."

:49:09
I had no idea that somebody
was gonna get killed or shot.

:49:14
So I just drove on.
:49:19
He was one of these kind
that didn't like getting involved.

:49:22
He wanted to go on. He told me
to shut up and turn around. Don't look.

:49:27
I turned around and looked anyway.
:49:34
So we heard something,
like backfire or firecrackers.

:49:39
And so we drove over the bridge,
and I got to thinking.

:49:42
I said: "Em, there're no firecrackers
this time of the year."

:49:50
I was thinking to myself:
:49:51
"That couldn't be somebody shooting."
:49:59
It was real dark, and it was cold.
